Esperanza Services Announces New Executive Team
Alhambra, California (October 17, 2007)—Esperanza Services, a non-profit organization dedicated to serving the developmentally disabled community, today announced the appointment of a new executive team effective immediately. The Board of Directors has appointed Evie Romero to the new position of President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Romero, who helped found the organization, has been serving in the role of Executive Director. With more than fifteen years experience in the non-profit sector, Romero brings a wide breadth of knowledge to her new role. “We are delighted that Ms. Romero will be leading Esperanza Services as our new President and CEO,” said ________, Chair of the Esperanza Board of Directors. “She has guided Esperanza Services through a decade of growth and service. By catering to one of the most underserved populations in our society, the developmentally disabled, Ms. Romero has forged a respected reputation as a committed leader in the non-profit community. We are confident that she will lead the organization to even greater success and carve out new directions for our future growth.” In addition, Experanza Services has appointed two new Program Managers, Jose Luevano, who will work in Supportive Living Services (SLS), and Trinidad Estrada, who will work in Independent Living Services (ILS). Esperanza Services has also opened a Quality Assurance (QA) department that is led by Shellyn Aguirre, the new QA Manager. Shellyn has also been with Esperanza Services for five years and has a great deal of experience. Finally, Susan Mussetti, a licensed MFT, has joined the QA department to review assessments and make recommendations with complex cases. Since 1997, Esperanza Services, a non-profit organization that provides Independent/Supported Living skills and Parent Education to individuals, families and parents with developmental disabilities, has been empowering people with developmental disabilities by providing culturally competent, comprehensive services that focus on developing the client's innate potential for successful living. |
